The X6 is the upcoming SUV-coupè from BMW: it will be based on the same platform as the X5 E70, but it will be lower on the ground and it will have a sloping rear. It is supposed to be both sportier and more luxurious than the X5 (and, obviously, pricier!).

The New Audi TT Roadster by Abt [video]
tagged abt, audi, car tuning, coupe, fsi, tt, turbo and video
Before the first preliminary designs were published, it was clear that the leading Audi tuner Abt Sportsline planned to cause a sensation with the new Audi TT, as the first TT is one of the favourite cars of the Kempten-based company with a long tradition.
And this is due to the fact that the race version of the Sports Coupe 2002 won a lot of DTM (German Touring Car Series) races.

2007 Bentley Continental GTC - First Drive [video]

It’s funny in a way, the whole “what is a Bentley, what is a Rolls-Royce?” tradition we’ve grown up with. I always thought of Rolls as the car one didn’t drive but was driven in. The back seats always held more allure than the fronts. A Bentley was a car that the owner actually drove. There is a wonderful photo from the ’60s of Mick Jagger piloting an old Bentley down some typical English road on his way to yet another gig. The point being that a Bentley will always be a driver’s car. The latest offering from Crewe-the Continental GT Convertible-is the latest reinforcement of that assertion.

1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom makes appearance at LA [video]
tagged aerodynamic body, petersen museum, phantom, rolls royce, show car and video
The poster car for this year’s Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance was a very special Rolls-Royce brought out by the nice folks at The Petersen Museum. Although we doubt anybody over at Mercedes would admit it, this car appears to be the inspiration for the Maybach Exelero show car from a couple of years ago. OK, probably not, but both are huge black coupes that seem to have been fashioned for comfortably touring the underworld. The biggest difference is that this Rolls is 80 years older than the Maybach. Officially it is a 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Aerodynamic Coupe with coachwork by Jonckheere, but most people call it the “Round Door” Rolls. Originally delivered to its owner wearing a more humble Hooper Cabriolet body in 1925, it was sold to the Raja of Nanpara soon after. It changed hands again but stayed in England until 1934, when another owner sent it to Belgium to be re-bodied by Carrossier Jonckheere.
