The initial units of the SEAT Ibiza ECOMOTIVE are now available.
Featured at the last Frankfurt Motor Show, the Ecomotive is SEAT’s most ecological car, as its 80 hp 1.4 TDI engine generates only 99 g/km of CO2 emissions, a technological breakthrough that precedes the strictest emission regulations that will become effective in a few years. Not only does the car respect the environment, it also achieves a spectacular fuel consumption figure of 3.8 l/100 km thanks to its efficient 80 hp 1.4 TDI engine, which features new developments in its engine terminal software and new gearbox ratios.
The Ibiza ECOMOTIVE is equipped with a standard DPF particulate filter, which prevents the typical soot by-product left by all Diesel engines from harming the environment.
To make the ECOMOTIVE both economical and environmentally friendly, the Martorell Technical Centre has worked on several aspects, such as increasing the gear ratios, streamlining, new tyres, newly designed rims, and replacing the spare tyre with a puncture kit, which helps reduce the minimum weight from 1,106 kg to 1,084 kg.
Regarding the interior equipment, the ECOMOTIVE features the same comfort and safety elements as on the rest of the Ibiza range, but with new upholstery. The complete list of standard equipment includes tinted glass, double headlamps, third brake light in the rear spoiler, remote controlled central locking, driver and passenger airbag, ABS + MSR, Dual brake assistance system, immobiliser with cryptocoding, rear seat equipped with ISOFIX, front power windows, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, Alana radio CD with a power output of 4×20W; RSD-FM-AM, telephone muting, adaptive volume according to speed, safety code and removable front control panel, and 4 + 2 speakers, among others.
Finally, the list of options includes foglamps, metallic paint, emoción red paint, front side airbags, front and rear head airbags, switchable passenger airbag, TCS, ESP, MP3 steering wheel-mounted controls and AUX-In connection and air conditioning.
