The world is about to get more car crazy

The world is about to get more car crazy, courtesy of the new, extra-potent SLR McLaren 722 Edition. Only 150 will be built (Mercedes has sold just over 1100 “standard” SLRs since the car’s debut in 2004), and only 20 or 30 of those will come to the U.S.-at a price of around $480,000 each.
Don’t even bother selling everything to get a 722 of your own, either: All 150 cars, Mercedes says, have already been booked.
It’s just hitting the streets, but already the SLR 722 is something of a museum piece-nice to look at, but you’re never going to own one.
Stop dreaming! Come back to earth, theres more. So! …..How about 641 horsepower and a claimed top speed of 336 Kmh?
Officially, the SLR 722 Edition is a reverence of the Mercedes-Benz 300SLR that carried British Grand Prix driver Moss Stirling and navigator Denis Jenkinson to victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia road race. The number “722″ refers to their start time-7:22 a.m. (after departing Brescia, the pair completed a 1000-mile loop through Italy in a record-setting 10 hours, 7 minutes, and 48 seconds-an average speed of almost 98 mph).
